20 Top Picks from the SF Local Design Market

Lauren Murrow | June 11, 2012 | Lifestyle Style & Beauty Story Style City Life Shopping

Pacific Heights home boutique Zinc Details is launching its first SF Local Design Market tonight, a weeklong exhibition and pop-up shop showcasing the sculpted, carved, and laser-cut work of a dozen artists and designers. Though Zinc typically stocks a mix of high-end furniture and accessories from around the world, the market hones in on a range of affordable and splurge-worthy Bay Area products, like art prints by 3 Fish Studios, Urbio vertical planters, Meg O'Halloran's sculptural chairs and rugs, and modern furniture and glassware by Jeni Tu, as well as design books from Gingko Press to deck out your coffee table. All the participating designers will be assembled for the opening reception tonight (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.) to discuss their work. Click ahead to see 20 of our top picks.

Zinc Details showroom, 1905 Fillmore St., 415-776-2100; through June 17.
