Following the recent openings of discerning importers Umami Mart, Kappa Zakka, and Turtle & Hare, this month Tokyo housewares chain Muji (540 9th St., near Bryant St.), the holy grail of functional design, not to mention last-minute gifts, unveils its largest U.S. store in SoMa. Here, a trove of Japanese swag to satisfy our city's collective Far East fixation.
