Daily Driver Dogpatch
ETA: March 2019
For anyone whose ideal breakfast is a bagel (shown here) with a schmear of cream cheese or butter, Daily Driver is a rare double threat: It’s San Francisco’s first combination creamery and bagel shop where the bagels, butter, cream cheese and other fresh cheeses are made in-house daily in a 5,000-square-foot converted industrial space. 2535 3rd St. (near 22nd Street)
RT Rotisserie Lower Haight
ETA: Spring 2019
Fresh off the success of their casual rotisseriecentric spinoff in Hayes Valley, Rich Table chefs Evan and Sarah Rich will open a second larger location of RT Rotisserie in the former Delessio Market & Bakery space in the Lower Haight. As at the original, the highlights of the menu will be the spit-roasted meats, served with a selection of housemade sauces. 306 Broderick St. (at Oak Street)
Gussie’s Southern Table and Bar Oakland
ETA: Summer 2019
Five years after she started the process of moving her restaurant—Gussie’s Chicken and Waffles, a Fillmore district soul-food staple—across the bridge to Uptown Oakland, Michele Wilson will finally open the doors to her new spot this summer, complete with a full bar and lounge area for live music. 2021 Broadway (near 20th Street)
