Where: Telegraph Avenue from West Grand to 27th Street.
When: September 6th from 5 to 10PM.
Cost: Free (except if you want food or beer or anything like that).
Why: Because Oakland's where it's at (at least on the first Friday of the month.)

Speakeasy's 16th Anniversary Block Party

Where: 1195 Evans Ave, SF.
When: September 7th from 1-6PM.
Cost: $35 general admission, $10 designated driver, $55 VIP.
Why: Come for the beer, stay for the Southpaw BBQ.

Sunset SF and Silent Frisco Presents HushFEST

Where: The Great Lawn at Treasure Island, Avenue of the Palms and 6th St.
When: September 8th at 1PM.
Cost: $15-22.
Why: The weather looks glorious and this is an ideal location for views and dance moves.

Ships in the Night

What: What started as a dance party for radical queers has become a fundraising, hip-shaking, expectation-bending get-down.
Where: The New Parish, 579 18th St, Oakland.
When: September 7th from 9PM to 2AM.
Cost: $5.
Why: Several rooms' worth of booty jams and attractive people; need we say more?
