Announcing the Winner of Brunch Madness

Scott Lucas | April 7, 2014 | Story Restaurants Mama's on Washington Square.

It took three weeks and thousands of votes, but by the narrowest of margins, (3) Mama's beat out (2) Brenda's French Soul Food to claim the title of best brunch in the city! The final vote total was 52% to 48% in favor of Mama's. It was a close final match up, but, in the end, the favorite of North Beach locals and tourists alike triumphed.

So good luck getting in there next weekend—it'll be even more packed than ever. You have only yourselves to blame.

For the last three weeks, you voted for the places to eat scrambled eggs and drink mimosas in the entire city. Check you the full bracket of results here. Thanks to everyone who voted!

And honestly, when you're eating brunch, no matter where it is in San Francisco, nobody is really a loser—even if Mama's on Washington Square is the winner.
