Jordan Mackay | September 17, 2012 | Story Clubs and Bars

What: Wine Bar at Dogpatch WineWorks is the retail front of the cavernous, custom-crush winery. Expect towering ceilings, huge windows, comfy couches and barstools, and a soundtrack of modern indie-pop.

Crowd: A laid-back bunch of wine geeks and winemakers.

Prices: 2-ounce tastes $2–$5; 5-ounce glasses $4–$12; bottles $16–$50.

Drink this: Jazz Cellars Sonoma County Zin—a big, honking, juicy red wine for $9.25 a glass.

Call ahead: Sign up for a blending session ($65, minimum of six people).
