Newark teacher Krista Hodges might want to work on her social media skills. #PersonalBranding is so important in today's disrupted society. Also—maybe don't be a horrible racist.
Just some advice.
Hodges is in hot water today after her twitter account got noticed for a series of tweets that reportedly included, " I already wanna stab some kids. Is that bad?" She also referred to some of her students with slurs like "nigga" and "half-tard." The Oakland Tribune rounded up some of the worst things she said (before she deleted her account). Some of the lowlights:
"I am getting Starbucks for sure before school tomorrow. That way I'll be refreshed AND have something to dump on the little a-holes."
"So happy to be done w/school for 10 days, but especially to be away from the ones who truly try my patience & make my trigger finger itchy."
"The problem w/teaching summer school is I'm gonna get all the (expletive) who failed my class, 2 of whom I wish would get hit by a car."
Hodge later conceded that she had acted "unprofessionally," and the district interim superintendent confirmed that there would be an investigation.
