Urban Hike: Lyon Street Steps
For a workout with a view, look no further than the Lyon Street Steps. Beginning at the top, at the intersection of Broadway and Lyon Street, descend the 332 steps while taking in the sights of the Palace of Fine Arts, the rolling hills of the East Bay and the manicured gardens. Then, turn around and come back up for a quick but intense workout. This secret two-block jaunt is mostly unknown to tourists, but it’s a favorite for Bay Area locals. Get here early in the day to find parking, and remember to bring a camera. 2450 Lyon St.
