The 4 Best Fall Activities in San Francisco

By Chuyan Jiang By Chuyan Jiang | August 22, 2023 | Lifestyle Feature Guides

Here are the best things to do this fall in San Francisco.

A night tour of Alcatraz

Visiting Alcatraz at night can be a truly exceptional experience if you are looking for something a little bit spooky as Halloween approaches. You may enjoy the narrated boat tour, a visit to the prison, the cellhouse and gorgeous evening view of San Francisco. Budget approximately three hours for the trip, and be sure to book tickets well in advance as the trip is popular!

A haunted walking tour around the city at night

With Halloween approaching, it's time to take a walking tour at night and explore the darker side of the city. Enjoy a Secrets, Scandals and Soundrels Tour of the notable crimes in San Francisco, or a Ghost Hunt Walking Tour about the supernatural history of the city, or even a Vampire Walking Tour to learn about San Francisco’s relationship with the vampires.

Lemos Farm (Half Moon Bay)

Lemos Farm has long been a favorite for families in the bay area. The kids will enjoy the pumpkin patch, haunted house, goat yoga, hay ride, pony ride, petting zooand more. For older kids and adults, the haunted house is sure to spook, and for kids, a less-intense version is on offer too. Lemos Farm is open every day in October and on weekends in November. Enjoy!
