A sweet playlist of tunes will get your energy up, and the high-intensity cardio cycling provides pushes you to smile and sweat your way to euphoric heights. Your heart will be pumping, your soul will be singing, and you’ll be looking forward to the next session, no doubt about it.

Also known as 17th Street Athletic Club, this beloved gym is queer woman-owned with an emphasis on cycling and strength training. Attendees rave about the positive atmosphere and quality sweat sessions, both of which make this a go-to- for serious trainers involved in the AIDS/Lifecycle ride, triathletes, and mountain bikers—but you certainly don't need to be a pro to love this spot. Classes offered include 30 to 45-minute sessions of cycling, cycling and core, cycling and lift, strength circuits, and Friday Funcycles! Get a monthly membership of five classes for $110, nine classes for $150 or an unlimited membership for $175.

TruFusion doesn't just do cycling. The all-in-one class emporium also offers yoga, barre, boxing, boot camp workouts, battle ropes, HIIT, kettlebell, pilates and more. Of course, we're looking for the best cycling in town, and TruFusion fans love the two classes on offer. Power Ride is a 45-minute unheated, high-intensity ride to get the heart pumping. Tru Ride is 45 minutes to an hour, also unheated, with the added bonus of drills, upper body dumbbell sections and even a bit of sprinting and dance! At TruFusion, your first class is free, and you can try a class pack or monthly membership from there.

Community is the beating heart of this local favorite, offering folks who love a music-centric sweat session with tons of heart-pumping action in Nob Hill. Besides dance and strength training classes, Revolutions offers a 45-minute dance and music-inspired cycling class offered at 5:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, as well as 7 a.m. Friday, 10:15 p.m. on Saturday and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Uforia also offers “sweat at home” classes if you can’t make it into the studio. Monthly memberships run at $89 for four classes, $99 for eight, and $199 for unlimited.

You’ve never taken a spin class quite like this! Get out of the usual spin class studio and get onto a floating bicycle that gives you a stellar workout in the great outdoors. Take in sweeping Bay views while actually pedaling your way around the Bay! Almost like riding a bike between two skis, you'll find the experience a lot easier than you might imagine. Rides happen from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday to Sunday, and each experience is by reservation only, so be sure to get on the calendar. Sunset sessions and private events are also available. This might not be your everyday cycle class, but it’s definitely an experience worth trying!

The ultra-famous home of cycling may not be a local institution, but it has to make our list nonetheless. With three locations in the Castro, Marin and Union Street, there are ample opportunities to get your sweat on. Classes here are built around the all-mighty playlists, with some themed classes that include Taylor Swift vs. Beyone, Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga vs. Madonna, Martin Garrix vs. Odesza and so much more.
