Stern Grove Festival
The Bay Area’s longest-running free outdoor music festival is back. With a wide range of genres featured this summer, guests are treated to performances by icons like Joan Jett all the way to pop bands like Fitz and the Tantrums. The festival began June 20, and each weekend until August 29, will feature a different selection of performers. Reserve your spots online, and don’t miss this exciting San Francisco classic!
Festival Napa Valley
Running from mid to late July, this festival is the hub for all things music, food, and wine. With numerous different concerts and programs throughout the festival, there is sure to be something for everyone. From outdoor symphonies to young artist performances and exclusive wine tastings, come for a cultural experience to enrich the mind.
Valley of the Moon Music Festival
The 7th annual Valley of the Moon Festival, from July 17 to August 1, aims to bring together classical music on period instruments and modern audiences. With the title this year being “LOVE & LONGING: Reaching Across the Distance”, the performances will cover topics about longing, romance, friendship, and renewal. With a mix of online and in-person concerts, this festival will make a unique addition to your summer roster.
Frozen Film Festival
Featuring films and filmmakers from around the world, the 15th annual Frozen Film Festival will feature a week of independent film screenings and discussions with the brains behind the movies themselves. The diverse lineup of films, screening from July 14-18, will tap into a wide range of genres from comedies, documentaries, and even animated films. For the avid movie-goer or regular citizen alike, this non-profit organization’s festival is sure to add some entertainment to your summer.
Gilroy Garlic Festival
Grab a bite to eat at the 41st Gilroy Garlic Festival. With a variety of events including the drive-thru Gourmet Alley where guests can pre-order from a wide selection of food including their world-famous garlic bread and pepper steak sandwich as well as the farm-to-table dinner at Fortino Winery. There will even be a golf tournament, all of which will benefit local charities. Encompassing the last two weekends in July, this is a can’t-miss festivity.
