The U Up? podcast is one of the many positively acclaimed projects of Betches, which strives to display the lived female experience through satirizing posts, stories, and other, often bitingly funny commentary.
Founded at a Cornell University apartment in 2011 by three lifelong friends Aleen Dreksler, Jordana Abraham, and Samantha Sage as initially an anonymous blog on observations of milennial and "bro" culture, Betches has since proliferated into an incredibly successful Media group and platform for women to share their diverse perspectives, advice, and relatable stories.
Along with their NYT best-selling books, newsletters, creative apparel and merchandise, and main Instagram loaded with intriguing content, other can't-miss branches of Betches include their fantastically inclusive podcasts of "Diet Starts Tomorrow," which critiques feminine psychological and emotional wellness, their political "Betches Sup," "Money Please" on financial support, and "Betches Moms" for motherhood.
"U Up?" focuses on dating and is hosted by co-founder Jordana Abraham and comedian Jared Freid. By addressing otherwise awkward issues of dating, sex, and relationships, their transparency and honesty encourages more discussions and life tips, all in a comedically sardonic, yet impactful approach.
