Following the recent openings of discerning importers Umami Mart, Kappa Zakka, and Turtle & Hare, this month Tokyo housewares chain Muji— the holy grail of functional design, not to mention last-minute gifts—unveils its largest U.S. store yet in SoMa (540 9TH ST., NEAR BRYANT ST.). Here, a trove of Japanese swag to satisfy our city’s collective Far East fixation.
