In celebration of their clothing brand’s one-year anniversary, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio have opened a Social Tourist pop-up just a stone’s throw from Melrose Place. More than just a clothing store, it’s the perfect meet up with your friends who want to take time to find the right pieces to add to their wardrobe and snap some fun pics too.
On June 16, the sisters will host the official grand opening from 6- 8 p.m and not only will fans have a chance to meet Dixie and Charli, but they can get glammed up by Liv Mardorma, shop Social Tourist’s June drop early and sip on beverages courtesy of Craig’s. And don't worry. If you can't make it, the pop-up is going to be open well into 2023.
Ahead of the big event, Charli and Dixie stopped to chat all about the pop-up and what fans can look forward to from season 2 of The D’Amelio Show.
Can you tell me about deciding to offer an in-person shopping experience for Social Tourist?
Charli D’Amelio: I think it was something that we wanted to do for so long, but I don't think you can start out with a store when people really need to be able to trust your brand first. And I think we've come such a long way with Social Tourist. And now we are a little bit more established than we were before, so being able to have a pop-up store is the craziest thing in the world. I think we're just so excited to be able to be here and get to really talk to people about it and people are very interested in actually getting the clothes. And I think it's just very fun and it's obviously a beautiful store, so I'm so excited that it turned out perfect.
Dixie D’Amelio: It’s super Gen-Z and fun and just somewhere where we would want to be and chill out and feel comfortable. Whether it's the lighting or the interactive walls or the security camera-looking photo wall, I just think that's so cool and somewhere I would want to shop and be.
Do you guys have any favorite pieces from the June drop?
DD: The dresses. I love the dresses.
CD: Honestly, all of the pants. I've been kind of obsessed with them. They're just so versatile and I think I really, really love that about them. And I'm excited to see everyone else in them.
June is an exciting time with Dixie’s album release and Charlie’s upcoming perfume release, not to mention everything else you have going on. Why was now also the right time for the popup?
CD: I feel like that always happens. We work on things in quiet for so long and then everything comes out at once. It's so much fun stuff going on. Maybe I'll hand out some perfume when we’re here and only play Dixie’s album.

How would you describe your collaborative relationship?
DD: I think we’re very good about being on the same page.
CD: We have to be.
DD: And we respect each other's opinions, but we usually agree on the same thing,
CD: Which is very nice
You recently wrapped filming for The D’Amelio Show. What can fans look forward to from season 2?
CD: I think it's a lot different than season 1 in the best way. You really get to see our own personal growth and a little bit of a deeper dive into aspects of our life that we haven't shared in the slightest. So it's a lot of new things that I don't think people will be expecting to hear from us. But then again, a lot of super fun moments, like getting to travel with us.
You have the pop-up’s grand opening event tomorrow. What are you looking forward to about celebrating with fans in-person?
CD: It's awesome. I think we're just so excited to see people in here. We've just been talking about it for so long and now that it’s real, I think we can't wait to see people in the clothes and in the store and having such a fun time.
