Yes, three-pointers from the warriors and theater-box culinary experiences match perfectly during the playoff run this spring.
Chase Center Tanduay theater boxes
The posh dining area is tucked discreetly behind the theater box seats, like a speakeasy. There, servers stand at the ready to bring out each course. On the day we visit, it’s a seasonal menu that includes a marinated mushroom salad, teriyaki turkey meatballs with Japanese yams and bok choy, and an assortment of desserts—as well as specialty cocktails from a full bar.
No, this isn’t an upscale performing arts venue with exceptional in-house catering. This is Chase Center.
We know from the arena’s extensive wine program that this isn’t a typical sporting arena experience. When fans come to watch the Golden State Warriors or a concert, they’re going to get much more than a show—they’re going to get a full sensory experience. This is San Francisco, after all. So why not fine dining and a theater box?
Robbie Lewis serves as the regional director at Bon Appétit Management Company, which has partnered with Chase Center. Everything, he says, is prepared fresh from scratch the day of the event, with rotating, seasonal menu items. This is made possible through the arena’s eight—yes, eight—industrial-sized kitchens, with an additional micro-kitchen assigned to each eatery.
In addition, specialty cocktails are offered in the space and throughout the arena, using fresh ingredients and mixers (instead of concentrates) usually found in a traditional bar setting. Snacks and halftime offerings are also in abundance, including popcorn, chips, hot dogs and another hot dish brought out during halftime (beef stroganoff on this day).
The boxes accommodate up to four people and include a private table, exclusive dining area, multicourse meal, free beer and wine, cocktails available for purchase and plush, private balcony seats. There are only 60 boxes available, however, so space is limited. Starting at $1,000 per box, they can be purchased either for a single game or concert. Let the chase for the NBA finals begin!
