It’s been a long time coming, but finally the folks behind Maverick and Hog & Rocks are opening their anticipated barbecue joint, where the meat will be sold by the pound and the beer will flow freely. Slated opening: winter.

Coqueta (Embarcadero)
Chef Michael Chiarello of Bottega in Yountville is taking over the gorgeous waterfront space that was Lafitte to bring us his spin on Spanish. Expect both locals and tourists to flock there. Slated opening: spring.
