Everything Went Wrong at the Levi's Stadium Debut

Scott Lucas | August 4, 2014 | Lifestyle Story City Life

Levi's Stadium—the home in the not too distant future of the 49ers—held its first sports event this weekend. The result? There's some work to do.

Let's catalog the disasters that befell the stadium during Saturday evening's Major League Soccer game between the San Jose Earthquakes and the Seattle Sounders:

The barbeque stands ran out of sauce.

The hot dog stands ran out of hot dogs.

Huge lines formed at the bathrooms, some of which malfunctioned.

The wi-fi in the press box went down.

Gridlocked traffic driving in before the game.

Overloaded, slow, and glitchy trains.

A traffic "nightmare" after the game.

42 minutes passed before the only goal of the night was scored.

Not to worry, the Niners' pre-season opener is only 13 days away!
