Four Ways to Have a Very Sexy New Year's Eve in Napa

Ian White | December 9, 2014 | Story California Destinations

Whether you’re after a classy five-course meal with dancing to a tuxedoed live band, or a masquerade ball at a castle, the Napa Valley is a very sexy destination to ring in the New Year. Here are four of the best parties:

Castello Di Amorosa New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball
7:00pm–1:00 am, $274 Members | $325 Guests
This ticket isn’t cheap, but we’re talking about an all out masquerade ball at a full-size castle in Calistoga. The night begins with passed hors d’oeuvres, the progresses to a five-course menu in the Grand Barrel Room followed by dancing in the great hall and a balloon drop at midnight. This is about as wild and decadent as it comes, and if you book a hotel in Calistoga they’ll even shuttle you home.

Domaine Chandon New Year's Eve Bubble Ball
7:00pm–late, $300
This annual soiree is always one of Napa’s sexiest and tastiest parties. Start the evening with a rich and creative five-course menu paired with top-notch sparkling and still wines. Then take professional portraits, indulge in sweets and party favors, shake it to a live band, and raise a glass for a champagne toast at midnight.

NYE with Siena with Ballroom Celebration
6pm-late (10pm seating also available), $145
The Meritage Resort in Napa offers a number of options, each of which can be paired with a night at the resort and treatments in their wine cave spa. A little less expensive—and a little less extravagant in every way—than the first two options, this ticket includes a four-course meal and a ballroom celebration with sweet bites, music, dancing, and a champagne toast at midnight.

Goose & Gander Speakeasy NYE Party
Twilight Dinner (includes after-party) $155, Late Night Dinner (includes after-party) $175, After Party Only $55
The romantic Goose & Gander in St. Helena is hosting its annual NYE dinner and dance party. Packed mostly with winemakers and locals, this shindig for “Flappers & Dappers” is dressy and sassy, but also manages to keep it cozy and welcoming. It’s also considered the best bar in Napa Valley by most, so it’s pretty hard to go wrong. There’s an arrangement with the Harvest Inn next door; get a room so you can easily (well, depending on how much you drink) walk home from the party.
