The rest of the campus and their museums are fabulous too, and exploring every nook is a grat way to spend an entire day in Palo Alto, perhaps only enhanced by a quick shopping trip at the nearby posh Town & Country village.

The palatial Filoli Estate in Woodsite just off of Palo Alto is a tucked away and resplendant piece of history that could fool your followers with its European essence. Their bucolic garden, scenic views, and magnificent buildings all along their photogenic property could be mistaken for the famous Gardens of Versailles in France, yet this one is situated right in the Bay Area and is definitely more of a stunning hidden gem.

Definitely take photos of the classic sculptures and pose within the ornate atrium for the quintessential museum shots here, and don't miss their current exhibitions, such as the elegant dresses of acclaimed high-fashion designer, Guo Pei.
