Kim Jones and KAWS unveil a buzzy new Dior capsule collection.
Dior Men varsity jacket, sweater, sweatpants, hat and B57 low-top sneakers, and Dior Men cardigan, T-shirt, sweatpants, brooch and B57 low-top sneakers
When cultural titans like Kim Jones, artistic director of Dior Men (dior.com), and New York-based artist KAWS team up, expect nothing short of a sonic boom in the style world. This dynamic duo has once again combined their creative genius with their latest capsule collection, an encore to their first collaboration at Dior’s summer 2019 show. Remember the giant rose-swathed “BFF” that was a standout on the runway? The dialogue continues with a fresh twist on Dior’s classics, all through the lens of KAWS.
This capsule collection sees the Dior logo playfully re-imagined—a mischievous snake slithers through the letters, adding a touch of roguish charm. From cotton faille Bermudas and quilted shirts adorned with Dior’s quintessential cannage pattern to knits emblazoned with the Dior oblique motif—not to mention the bags and leather finery—it’s a major moment. Keep an eye out for the impish serpent cunningly forming the CD initials across jackets, sporty getups and the B57 sneakers. The neon yellow and red B35 NXXT sneakers? They offer the perfect pop alongside a swaggy lineup of brass jewelry.
This sartorial spectacle debuts in Dior boutiques in early January and is poised to be the chatter of both art aficionados and fashion fans alike.
