GOING NATURAL
“Resin is a natural material and more environmentally friendly than marble,” says Brier, who also notes the material absorbs color and is practical to maintain. “The Martha Sturdy Madison dining table is the embodiment of a gathering zone— capturing precious movement still in time.” Anyon Atelier, 3384 Sacramento St., 415.829.2758, anyondesign.com
LOVELY LUMENS
“We love the nod to the great early 20th century pioneering modern designers—JeanMichel Frank, Serge Roche, Giacometti,” says Brier. “Working out of his Brooklyn atelier, Antonson creates every piece by hand. The soft glow of indirect light from this pendant is perfect for early mornings and late evenings.” stephenantonson.com
SIP SHAPE
“We love the exquisite edit at our Sacramento Street neighbors, MARCH. These hand thrown and handglazed stoneware mugs by Christiane Perrochon hail from her Tuscan studio,” says Brier. “The perfect cup for your morning coffee ritual.” MARCH, 3075 Sacramento St., 415.931.7433, marchsf.com
MIRROR IMAGE
“Elisabeth Sunday uses a process—developed and unique to her—known as field-mirror photography. She doesn’t photograph the subject directly,” says Brier. “Rather, she shoots a mirror reflection of the subject, which creates a beautiful elongation of the subject as well as a sense of privacy.” “Passion,” 20 inches by 24 inches, Anyon Atelier, 3384 Sacramento St., 415.829.2758, anyondesign.com
UP AND AWAY
“The apparent softness of the organic shapes of Louise Roe’s ceramic balloon collection almost tricks the eye,” says Brier. “We love them as objects d’art as standalones or with seasonal flora.” Louise Roe ceramic balloon vase, Anyon Atelier, 3384 Sacramento St., 415.829.2758, anyondesign.com
SITTING PRETTY
“The British female designers behind Ochre have created the most luxe minimal dining chair. Love the minimal classic cantilever shape wrapped in saddle leather,” says Brier. Ochre Caribou chair, ochre.net
GARDEN DELIGHT
“The creative process is never finished,” says Brier. “Aptly named, Progetto Non Finito, Dimoremilano’s foliage sconce’s decorative leaves add a touch of glamorous brass and a nod to the garden in this breakfast room.” Dimoremilano foliage pendant, thefutureperfect.com
