Whenever a riveting crossover comes together, it is always an exciting event, and the collaboration between HUF and Lost Farm is no exception! Earlier in October, the two brands teamed together to bring a cannabis- and skate-inspired capsule collection. This capsule collection includes an assortment of clothing items and accessories. This partnership is one to take note of because it marks the beginning of HUF indulging in their first ever cannabis collection.

HUF is a well-known skate brand, who has been known for their influence on skateboarding culture as a whole. They have collaborated with high-profile brands ranging from Marvel to even Godzilla.

On top of the newly released clothes and accessories, customers are also able to get Lost Farm’s new gummies and chews at dispensaries across California.

Here is a brief interview from Lost Farms about their recent collaboration with HUF:

With a prevalent skate/cannabis culture in the Bay Area, what does this collaboration with HUF mean to Kiva?

This collaboration is huge for us. Our team has a great amount of respect and appreciation for skateboarding culture. Lost Farm’s Brand Director Steve Miller and Manager Mike Richins have been skateboarding for most of their lives, so the collaboration came naturally. It helped that Steve and Mike have worked closely with HUF since the early days, so the collaboration was built on the foundation of these strong relationships.

Has this collaboration been a long-time goal?

With the Lost Farm leadership’s background in skate culture, working with HUF was definitely on our radar from our first conversations. Keith Hufnagel, HUF’s late founder, created a genuine community out of a counterculture “sport” and lifestyle. There are not only parallels to cannabis- but also what we’re trying to do specifically with Lost Farm.

We are using concentrates that true cannasseurs appreciate and driven to create the most unique strain and flavor combos out there, releasing them in small, limited batches across the year. It’s an exciting, experimental approach and HUF saw the synergies in how fresh and unconventional the brand is.

What influenced the designs and clothing for the collaboration?

The HUF team was very hands-on when it came to choosing the strains, the packaging, and designing the capsule collection. Mike had spent some years at Nike Skateboarding, so he added an element of storytelling with the use of both brand’s logos on merch, and also added some key items to the collection like the branded clock, which will be hanging on top-tier dispensary walls and skate shops across California.

What inspired the new cannabis flavors that you have released for this collaboration?

The HUF team expressed they’d like to work with iconic OG strains from the 90’s, so we landed on Sour Diesel and OG Kush. The HUF team chose the flavor pairings (Sour Grape and Black Cherry, respectively) that they thought best complemented those specific strains and our team was totally aligned with their taste. The rest is history.

What are Kiva's hopes/efforts for the future of normalizing cannabis culture beyond San Francisco?

Kiva is always striving to make cannabis accessible to new audiences, from the heavy hitters to the canna-curious. The HUF collab is our first attempt at launching in multiple cannabis markets beyond California to do exactly that - normalize cannabis culture, no matter where you may find yourself.

Education has always been at the forefront of our approach- from sharing how safe and trustworthy cannabis and edibles are, to really empowering users with the information they need to choose from our large family products so they can have the best experience possible.

Anything else we can look forward to?

Our recent collabs with SAINt JHN and HUF have been immensely successful for us and we plan to continue working with iconic brands and creators moving forward. In a way, this is just the beginning. We’re also excited to announce that our new Lost Farm Rosin-infused products will be dropping next month. You heard it here first!
