Mandatory New Year's Eve Dining

New Years Eve is fast approaching. If you’re still narrowing down your New Year plans, we’ve pulled together a list of restaurants where you can sing Auld Lang Syne all over the Bay. And many of these locales are offering early seatings—so that even if you’ve already got plans for the stroke of midnight, you can still get a good meal in before the year’s end.

The City:

Get your vino on while you dance at Press Club with a complimentary glass of sparkling rosé, plus a second glass of your choosing, and a selection of nibbles. The DJ starts spinning at 6pm. Tickets are available here:

Keep it classy at Top of the Mark at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins. Groove to the R&B/funk cover band with your very own bottle of Moet Chandon Imperial, a 6-course plated dinner and near 360 degree views. Oh and of course, a Moet Chandon rosé toast at midnight. If you’re up for grand finales, then the "Last Supper" and "Last Party" celebrations at Waiheke Island Yacht Club are up your alley. VIP guests will be treated to a private open bar and staff as well as a raw oyster bar. All of which will include views of the fireworks! Dinner and a movie just got a NYE revamp at Foreign Cinema with their Sexy Tiki party and dinner. “Blue Hawaii” will be on the screen while you enjoy a Polynesian themed four course dinner and music. To book a reservation visit or call 415-648-7600.

If the thought of another year scares you, escape into the timelessness of the Presidio Social Club for your New Years celebration. Dine on a selection of true classics from the PSC a la carte menu as well as some holiday favorites like oysters, lobster, caviar, and of course, champagne, to the tunes of a live band—change never tasted so good. South Bay:

Opa! Ring it in Hellenic-style at Dio Deka with a four course dinner and complimentary champagne toast at midnight. But the party really starts when the bar opens up onto a dance floor with a DJ. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (408) 354-7700.

East Bay:

North Bay:
