Marc Maron Is in San Francisco Today and Bored. Let's Help Him.

Scott Lucas | October 13, 2014 | Lifestyle Story City Life

This morning Marc Maron tweeted, "I'm sitting by the SF bay on a beautiful day looking at my phone." The podcast host is still in town, we presume, after his conversation at Litquake last night. He followed up by saying he was "Riding that edge between feeling perfect and nauseous." Yup—that just about sums up the inner mental life of every San Franciscan on every day, ever. There's a reason one of the book collections of Herb Caen columns bears the exact title Feeling Perfect and Nauseous.

It's true: Just look at last weekend. Awesome planes doing tricks in the sky. Feeling perfect. Scenes from the class struggle at a Mission soccer field. Ugh. Here comes the nausea.

So Marc, if you're still in town and reading this, don't despair. (Just kidding: We know Maron's a print subscriber.) There's plenty to do on a sunny afternoon in San Francisco. Go to the park! Drink some sour coffee! Best of all, the East Bay is just a short BART ride away.
