SAN FRANCISCO, CA, JANUARY 22, 2014 – Modern Luxury, the largest publisher of luxury regional magazines in the United States, appoints Paul J. Reulbach as Publisher of SAN FRANCISCO magazine. In his new role, Reulbach will oversee the publication’s advertising sales, sponsorship programs, strategic partnerships and events and have the overall responsibility for the magazine’s financial management.
Reulbach joins Modern Luxury with more than thirty years of experience in the field of publishing. A native of the Boston region, Paul began his career at Lawyers Weekly Publications, where he held various executive advertising sales positions at a number of the company’s titles. In 1997 he joined Boston magazine as Advertising Director, in 1998 became Associate Publisher and in 2003 was named Publisher. During his tenure at the company, he oversaw the development of numerous new initiatives, including the expansion of the Boston magazine brand and portfolio of products including Boston Home, Boston Weddings, Vestibule magazine, bostonmagazine.com, Design Home and a wide array of events and social media programs.

Paul takes over the role of Publisher from Steven Dinkelspiel, who served as President and Publisher of SAN FRANCISCO since 1999. During Steven’s tenure San Francisco consistently garnered national recognition for excellence in journalism and design, receiving several MAGGIE awards as the nation's finest regional magazine, a number of James Beard Award nominations for food writing and, in 2011, the Best Picture Oscar of the publishing world—the National Magazine Award for General Excellence.
