Since 1986, Mollie Stone's Markets has been making a difference in San Francisco through food and community involvement. Locally and family owned, the markets are dedicated to superior customer service and high-quality products from local growers and brands.
With nine markets in the Bay Area employing over 700 individuals, Mollie Sone's Markets made a big impact in the community during the pandemic by donating to local hospitals, food banks, schools, first-responders and several nonprofits through the means of direct financial support, food, PPE, volunteering, and customer match programs.
The Golden Gate Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is celebrating 50 years of honoring the impact philanthropy makes in the Bay Area. They recognized Mollie Stone's Markets' extensive efforts within the region, presenting them with the Outstanding Corporate Grantmaker Award.
Inspired by the Markets' namesake, the company strives to benefit the community during the pandemic and beyond. "There is no greater need during one's lifetime than to support our community," says Mike Stone, owner and CEO of Mollie Stone's Markets. "If I can make a difference in one person's life, what greater gift is there?"
