No, Hooters Is Not Coming to Noe Valley

Scott Lucas | October 13, 2014 | Lifestyle Story City Life

Sorry, #NoeDads, you're still going to have to schlep all the way to North Beach to get your fill of, um, thighs and breasts. A Hooters is not—we repeat, not—moving into Noe Valley.

Seems that a merry prankster started the ball rolling when he or she either posted or altered a public notice at the former site of Bliss Bar on 24th and Noe to indicate that the space would soon be home to a "Neighborhooters."

It seems to have been a ruse, as sharp-eyed locals realized when they discovered that the application claimed the corporate parent was called Hooters, LLC; in fact, the real Hooters' parent company is legally known as Hooters of America, LLC.

The other giveaway that it was all a joke is that Noe Valley is Noe Valley.
