Orange Is the New Brioche

Le Marais head baker Justin Brown is quietly turning out yeasty goodness to rival Tartine’s in his five-month-old Marina bakery. For this orange brioche, a holiday special, he uses fresh-squeezed juice and candied orange peel, bestowing a whisper of citrus on the buttery pull-apart mounds. Snatch one of the roughly 10 loaves baked daily for your holiday spread or a party gift. Then succumb to Brown’s extra treasures: Linzer baubles, peppermint chocolate macarons, or his pastiche of other flawless, more rustic breads. One thing that this bakery doesn’t share with Tartine?
