Something incredibly unique is coming to the Mission Tuesday, June 6, and any serious foodie needs to sit up and take note.
Michelin-starred restaurant Osito is teaming up with the seasonally driven New American eatery Octavia for a one-night-only, multi-course menu that celebrates the freshest ingredients our region has to offer, as well as the incredible skill of the pair’s four talented head chefs.

Since opening in late 2021, Osito has wowed sophisticated diners with its focus on live-fire cooking. Co-chefs Seth Stowaway and Matt Hanley quickly made their mark with this warm and smoky approach.
Tuesday, they’ll be joined by Octavia’s award-winning chefs Melissa Perello and Nico Pena for what the dynamic foursome is calling “a high-energy, communal, live fire tasting menu.”

For $295 per person, guests can enjoy a seasonal menu that opens with light bites, including veal piroshki and veal tartare.
The menu then unfolds in multiple stages with a variety of profiles and flavors, including Jenny’s popcorn custard with royal caviar; Jellyfish “pasta alla norma;” squid ink pita and duck “ham” broth; and veal three ways with fresh vegetables and Kibo farm flageloet beans.
The meal finishes with a variety of sorbetto, Sonora wheat crespelle, and salty pumpkin seed shortbread cookies.
It’s set to be a true culinary celebration of the moment at hand and all the Earth is ready to serve as we head into the summer season—and really, when else are you going to see the head chefs of two beloved San Francisco restaurants come together in the kitchen?
Multiple seatings will be held throughout the evening between 5:30 and 9 p.m.
