Determined to thrive during COVID, the rich live music and concert scene in the Bay Area has definitely come back strong this year. Particularly for this springtime, here are the upcoming, most popular concerts arriving in the next few weeks to make sure you don’t miss out.
525 W Santa Clara St, San Jose / Website
In honor of her Grammy-winning album Future Nostalgia, global pop icon Dua Lipa is putting San Jose on her radar this Sunday. Along with fellow pop artist Caroline Polachek, known for hits like “So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings,” their out-of-this-world show is set to begin at 6:30 p.m., with ticket prices ranging from $49.50 - $129.50.
As stated on the SAP Center site, Future Nostalgia (with notable hits of “Don’t Start Now,” “Break My Heart,” and “Levitating,”) is the longest running album by a female artist in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200, and was the #1 most streamed album of 2020 on Spotify.

Happening on the same day up north in Oakland is fellow pop star Charli XCX, who is known for songs like “1999” feat. Troye Sivan, “Boom Clap,” “Beg for You,” and “Boys.” Charli is a YouTube Music Award winner, two-time Billboard Music Award winner, and double Sesac “Songwriter of the Year” recipient, with many Grammy, MTV EMA, and BRIT Award nominations. Accompanying her is hyperpop music producer A.G. Cook, who has worked on many of Charli’s hits. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets start at $39.50.

After putting her original Chase Center shows on hold for two years, Billie Eilish finally finds herself back in the Bay. Her latest “Happier Than Ever” album focused more on serious and dreamy ballads with emotional songs like “Getting Older,” “my future,” and “Billie Bossa Nova,” emphasizing maturity in contrast to her 2019 “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” album which introduced “Bad Guy” and “Bury a Friend.” The long-awaited return of the 20 year old pop star is sure to drawn in fans of all ages. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets begin at $150.50.

Slated for two nights the first at the Masonic on Wednesday, and the second in Oakland’s Fox Theatre on Thursday, Clairo and Arlo Parks’s smooth dreamy vocals are sure to reverberate perfectly at both these historic venues. Clairo came to viral fame in late 2017 with her lo-fi hit “Pretty Girl,” and has since led her soft, melodic voice to other notable songs like “Bags,” “Sofia,” and Wallow’s “Are You Bored Yet?” in 2019. Arlo Parks hails from London and is known for her soulful tracks “Hope,” “Softly,” and Caroline.”

Tyler, the Creator and The Bay have long been acquainted with each other, especially with his explosive performance last year at Outside Lands. This partnership continues as he delivers the same high showstopping energy to Oakland Arena for his “Call Me If You Get Lost” tour. With over a decade of experience now and countless remarkable hits under his belt, the 31-year-old rapper is ready to return and deliver theatrical renditions of his newest album’s songs like “SIR BAUDELAIRE” and “LEMONHEAD.” Show begins at 7 p.m., with prices starting at $70.
