In the big book of rock icons, Queen is one of the brightest names beloved across generations, and for good reason. The British rock band changed the landscape of popular music with its infusion of dramatics and operatic elements, putting a certain kind of theatrical twist on the rock epics of the day.
Of course, a huge part of Queen’s style and powerful appeal came from its original frontman, the legendary Freddie Mercury. Though he passed away of AIDS in 1991, his influence on rock lives on, and so does Queen, joined now on stage by the talented and larger-than-life American singer-songwriter Adam Lambert.

Lambert became a quick star on American Idol, auditioning with Queen’s landmark anthem “Bohemian Rhapsody.” His impressive vocal range, colorful fashion sense and star-of-the-show persona brought him success in his solo career and brought Queen’s surviving band members calling when they wanted to return to the road.
The combination has been incredible, offering fans of the band a chance to see the high-energy show in a new era. Now, Queen and Adam Lambert are bringing that fantastic show to the Chase Center this Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 8 and 9, and we’ve got all the details below.
First of all, whether you’re using rideshare to get to the venue or driving yourself, we highly recommend buffering your travel time with an extra half hour or so to account for heightened traffic in the area. Then go ahead and add another 15 minutes to handle your parking your own car.
The Chase Center offers space to pre-paid parking pass holders at two distinct garages: the Mercedes-Benz Garage, accessible from 390 16th St. and 99 Warriors Way; and the Warriors Way Garage, accessible at 150 Warriors Way. Both garages are set to open at 5 p.m. the day of the concerts, and both garages close at midnight. You can learn even more about how to reach these garages at chasecenter.com/parking.
If you didn’t nab a limited parking pass in time, there are third-party operated garages recommended by the Chase Center at 1800 Owens St., and the corner of 19th Street and Illinois Street. When there are no events at Oracle Park, the Chase Center also recommends parking at Lot A at 74 Mission Rock St.
Yes, we’re sure you have the cutest purse picked out for this highly-fashionable show, but if your bag is any larger than 14” long and 6” wide, it’s going to have to be checked at the bag valet on Terry A Francois Blvd for a $10 fee. Backpacks are never allowed, although smaller fashion backpacks and diaper bags that look like backpacks can get a pass if they meet the 14” x 6” requirement. All bags will be searched and screened.
First of all, get your tickets for Wednesday’s Queen concert here and Thursday’s concert here. Now that that’s out of the way:
Printed tickets are a thing of the past at the Chase Center, because the venue has gone completely contactless—at least for entry. Make sure your mobile ticket is ready to be scanned once you get to security, either on your TicketMaster app or the Warriors + Chase Center Mobile App.
It’s always a good idea to download and access your ticket page before leaving the house, in case of a lowered cell signal due to crowds or lack of on-site WiFi. However, please be advised that screenshots of digital tickets don’t always work. Be sure to read the fine print of your mobile ticket.
The day of the show, doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the music begins at 8 p.m. The setlist is lengthy, with more than 20 songs in the main performance and an extended encore. There is no official opening band, so be ready to rock when the lights go down. Lambert and the living and active Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor are joined by longtime Queen keyboardist Spike Edney, bassist Neil Fairclough and percussionist Tyler Warren.
All the big Queen hits are on display, including the opening energizer "Machines (or Back to Humans)" and "Radio Ga Ga." You'll get "Another One Bites the Dust," "Fat Bottomed Girls," "Killer Queen," "Don't Stop Me Now" and a lively encore performance of "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions." Of course, you'll also be treated to "Bohemian Rhapsody."
