The numbers alone are impressive: 4,500 square feet and featuring more than 100 appliance luminaries like Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove. But add that it’s the first showroom of its kind in the San Francisco Design Center and the exclusive showcase for these brands, and Bay Area homeowners, interior designers and architects have reason to start mapping out those chef kitchens.
Look for chef demonstrations in the Riggs working kitchen throughout the winter.
Gourmands also have reason to celebrate, as the showroom introduces a monthly supper club (Dec. 1, 6 to 8PM), with a four-course seasonal menu with wine pairings and appliance demonstrations by Riggs’ chefs. Fans of top-tier appliances also will enjoy Cooking With Convection and Steam (Dec. 16, noon to 1:30PM), as chefs cover the basics for a lunchtime class. And to cap off the month, look for Master Your Kitchen (Dec. 15, 6 to 8PM), a full slate of tips designed to ensure exceptional culinary results. The classes will roll on throughout 2023.
The Riggs showroom is 4,500 square feet and is the first space of its kind in the San Francisco Design Center.
“Appliance shopping is an important learning process,” says Grant Riggs, the company’s CEO. “And offering an interactive experience as well as knowledgeable chefs and consultants to answer questions provides our guests with the vital information they need to make informed decisions.” Riggs also notes that the appliances offered in the new showroom come in multiple sizes, finishes, features and styles. Upshot? There’s no longer an impediment to creating French Laundry 2.0 in a new home space. San Francisco Design Center Galleria, 101 Henry Adams St., Ste. 144, 415.582.6717, riggsdistributing.com
