The Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park has yet another shiny object to lure guests to the property: the Lucid Air (lucidmotors.com). All guests have access to the electric vehicles either to drive or serve as passengers.
“Sustainable travel without sacrificing style or comfort has increasingly become an important must-have for our guests as they explore Northern California,” says Philip Meyer, managing director of Rosewood Sand Hill (rosewoodhotels.com). “Lucid’s California-inspired design, along with incredible horsepower and unrivaled range, make it the perfect choice for our property, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer our guests this luxury amenity.”
During the one-year partnership with Lucid Motors, Rosewood’s team will offer guests select trims from the Air lineup, beginning with the brand’s latest: Lucid Air Touring. The EV boasts impressive power (620 horsepower) and range (625 miles), along with exquisite interiors. Another bragging right: The car will zip from zero to 60 miles per hour in a blistering 3.4 seconds. While behind the wheel touring wine country, guests will benefit from the Air’s driver-assistance system dubbed DreamDrive. Thirty-two onboard sensors help drivers navigate everything from blind spots to heavy traffic.
Inside the car, look for sustainably harvested materials like open-pore North American walnut wood trim and surfaces covered in recycled materials. Nappa full-grain leather, sourced from a carbon-neutral producer, offers remarkable comfort. Not surprisingly, tech also plays a starring role. The Glass Cockpit is a 34-inch, 5K floating screen that curves around the driver for vital information in an easy sightline. Swiping up or down on the screen prompts more details for items like maps or playlists.
