Just when you think you’ve had your festive fill of all things Irish last weekend, the days following St. Patrick’s Day are just as lively as the ones that preceded it in San Francisco. Whether you happened to miss last weekend, or just want even more city fun, there are definitely still many activities happening from comforting Irish fare to the return of a can’t-miss block party!

The annual LepraCon pub crawl is the largest pub crawl in the city and is a classic way to get to know all the notable Irish taverns, as well as to meet potential new people. Drawing in well over a thousand people every year, everyone partakes in a day filled with drink specials and lively DJ sets among over 20 prominent venues. Meeting spots are scattered throughout from Del Mar in the Marina, to Lush Lounge on Polk. Tickets are still available at $12 and there are no cover charges at any of the bars!

Another SF classic in North Beach, Chief Sullivan’s Annual Lot Party is back after a 3 year hiatus with its 4th iteration, and they are promising to make up for the lost time. Starting from 10am on Friday and Saturday, they will be serving up traditional Irish breakfast until 2pm, followed by drink specials and live music that goes on past 10pm. Portions of their proceeds will be donated to aid Ukrainian Refugees, and it is free entry with a cover charge only beginning after 2pm.

As highlighted in our previous article, there is no shortage of restaurants throughout the city to get a proper Irish feast, whether it be on the holiday or just any other day of the week! To profile a few, Kezar Pub in Cole Valley, Irish Times in the Financial District, Johnny Foley’s in Union Square, and The Plough and the Stars in the Richmond District all have their fair share of shepard’s pie, corned beef and cabbage, and fish and chips. Wherever you are this weekend, stop in any of them nearby for a satisfying meal and pair with a beer if you like.
Bar Fluxus: 18 Harlan Place/ Website
Neck Of The Woods: 406 Clement Street/ Website
Happening every evening this weekend at both Bar Fluxus and Neck Of The Woods, if you want to sit and enjoy a collection of the Bay Area’s top local comics, there are plenty of showings available. Both venues will be serving custom cocktails such as grape caipirinhas and lychee violette spritzers. Have one with your show and also enjoy the atmosphere of both a tucked away alley in Union Square for Bar Fluxus, and the newly renovated Neck of the Woods.

If you want to go straight onto the dancefloor and enjoy some creative DJ sets, Providence on Polk Street is hosting an Official St. Patrick's Day Club beginning at 2pm on Saturday with their “Providence Saturdays” following that night. Featuring artists like Brandon Beach, Mike Woo, K.Pau, and more, this second floor club provides bottle service as well as an elevated view of the city skyscape.
Plan your continuing St. Patrick’s weekend with all these ongoing events, and whether you come alone or gather friends, just be sure to don something green.
