Fashion Community Week San Francisco (@fashioncommunityweek, fcwsf.com) celebrates 17 years this month (Sep. 28-30), and its founder, Shirin Hashem, is thrilled that the season delivers a range of national and international brands to the festivities. “This fall season is all about bold colors, exquisite style detailing and statement pieces,” she says. “I’m looking forward to wearing these bold ensembles in the weeks ahead.” The fashionista says that while she always buys local brands during her many travels, her go-to boutiques in SF include Isabel Marant (isabelmarant.com), Alice + Olivia (aliceandolivia.com) and Cop Copine (cop-copineus.com).
For nights out while donning her always spot-on pieces, Hashem loves dining at Empress by Boon (theempresssf.com), The Palm Court at RH (rh.com) and Kokkari (kokkari.com), followed by cocktails at the new rooftop lounge at Cavaña (cavanasf.com). Escapes? “I love a quick one-day getaway in the early fall at Napa’s Auberge du Soleil (aubergeresorts.com) for spa and lunch on the deck, plus a long weekend getaway at Grand Velas resort in Puerto Vallarta (vallarta.grandvelas.com) for spa and pool time,” she says. In late summer, amid a travel rush, Hashem shared her favorite fall looks and current passions.
