Shop Here Now: Drewes Meats Sells Microbacon

Sara Deseran | December 19, 2012 | Food & Drink Story Eat and Drink

In September, San Francisco magazine conducted and published a taste test of bacon made by local restaurants. One of our judges—butcher Josh Epple, co-owner of Drewes Meats—has brought that survey to life at his shop in Noe Valley. Epple is now selling "microbacon" (his genius word, not ours) from Beast and the Hare, the winner of the taste test, as well as bacon from Cedar Hill, Nopa, and more. "We can't keep it in stock," says Epple, who's also hawking Foreign Cinema's excellent merguez sausage.
