The bride and groom chose a dreamy locale for their wedding and reception, Annadel Estate Winery.
THE COUPLE Katherine (Katie) Morris and Andrew Switkay first met in 2016. The NYC-based couple enjoyed an amazing first date at a bar named Ampersand, and it’s been smooth sailing ever since. Over four years later, Andrew got down on one knee during Christmas at Katie’s family home, surrounded by her loved ones—and received an enthusiastic “Yes!”

THE PARTY Since childhood, Katie fantasized about a fabulous destination wedding in Sonoma County. The ceremony was a family affair, with the bride’s uncle officiating. Katie’s favorite moment? When she met Andrew with her father at the end of the aisle. “All three of our hands held tight together for just a moment, but there was so much love, trust and symbolism in that gesture,” she admits. “It was truly a movie moment!”
The bridesmaids’ dresses perfectly matched the hues of the vineyard.
Next came the reception under a luxurious tent on the winery’s property, inspired by the idea of a Mediterranean garden party. Guests enjoyed tomato and stone fruit salad, steak frites, sumptuous game hen and sweet corn polenta; the cake was a decadent olive oil and Meyer lemon cake with lemon curd and Swiss meringue buttercream frosting. The party continued with the couple renting out the bar at Steiner’s Tavern, snacking on late-night bites and sipping cocktails all night.

THE HONEYMOON After a fun-filled wedding weekend, the newlyweds flew back to their hometown before jetting off to Bermuda. They spent hours in the ocean, unplugged and enjoyed a decadent dinner at Tom Moore’s Tavern with the resto’s famous martinis.
