Kicking off this summer in the city is a community favorite and long-missed outdoor parks event- the return of the highly delightful and can't-miss Sundown Cinema!
Slated to be even bigger and more extravagent this year, Sundown Cinema is a true San Francisco tradition, inviting all of the city's summer-ready citizens to come together and enjoy timeless classics in our many lush parks with the serene California sunset as the perfect backdrop.
The first of these lovely events begins Friday May 27th with a location and film that are both quintessentially San Francisco. Moviegoers new and returning can joyously meet at Dolores Park to watch an exclusive screening on Sister Act 2, complete with pre-show festivities!
After that all the way until sunny October will be another seven incredible films all around our iconic and gorgeous parks, such as Encanto on August 19 at India Basin, and Shang Chi September 30 at Crane Cove Park.
The SF Parks Alliance is the sole nonprofit organization that supports, sustains, and improves all the city parks, spending more than 50 years to guarantee these public spaces are safe, inviting, and thriving.
This summer long series is totally free and open to the public, however there are member and RSVP tickets for special reserved seating and unique prizes at each screening.
There will also courteously be delectable local food, drinks, and music to fully add to the fun and brightness of these wonderful warm and one-of-a-kind nights.
