The new Firefox.. we mean Warriors Stadium.
As Warriors arena consultant Jesse Blount said in today’s Chronicle, “We are trying to flush the toilet bowl forever out of people’s consciousness”—and they just might have succeeded.
The Golden State Warriors released a revised design for their waterfront stadium complex today, and, the best thing we can say about it is that it doesn’t, in fact, bear much resemblance to a porcelain throne.
It looks like the Firefox logo.
Go ahead, look at that circular swoosh on the top of the stadium. Now look at your browser icon. Same thing. Completely the same thing. That’s what it looks like to us, at least.
We don't mind it, though. The project will be located on 11 acres in Mission Bay and include 18,000 seats, 100,000 square feet of retail, and almost nine acres of public space. The original plans had to be modified because, well, see the title of this post. The new plans are to be presented to the public at Mission Bay Citizens Advisory Committee meeting on Thursday night.
