Light-up, full-size DeLorean time machine replica
In the market for some pop culture memorabilia? Know a collector who would just love to get their hands on the real Thor’s hammer from the hit Marvel movies, or Marty McFly’s hoverboard from Back To The Future Part II?
You’re in luck, because those items and so much more are about to hit the auction block in a massive movie prop lot, presented by Propstore.
More than 1,800 items are up for grabs during the live auction, for a total estimated value of $9 million. Bids can be placed during a four-day window, from Tuesday to Friday, June 21 to 24.

The auction will be held in person at Propstore’s U.S. headquarters in Valencia, CA., but the proceedings will also be livestreamed and prospective buyers can place bids online and by phone.
That Thor’s hammer we mentioned before will be there, the very same wielded by Chris Hemsworth in 2011’s Thor. It’s estimated to sell for anywhere from $100,000 to $150,000, and the hoverboard Michael J. Fox made famous in 1989 is estimated at between $80,000 and $120,000.
Digging the ‘80s? There’s a light-up, full-size DeLorean time machine replica on the block used by Universal Studios during promotion events in the later half of the decade that’s estimated to bring in $150,000 to $200,000.
That’s only the second-highest estimated value, though. The top prop is expected to be a screen-matched ILM “Red Leader” X-Wing Starfighter model miniature used to film Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977. That’s estimated to sell for anywhere from $500,000 to $1,000,000.
You can also check out an animatronic Gizmo puppet from Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1989), the actual Wilson volleyball from Cast Away (2000) that starred opposite Tom Hanks, the complete staff writer’s set series of 179 bound scripts from the hit TV show I Love Lucy and more.
Oh, and don’t forget Samuel L. Jackson’s wallet that says "Bad Mother F****r" from the iconic 1994 film Pulp Fiction.
Propstore’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction begins Tuesday June 21st at 8:00 a.m. PDT. Visit propstore.com/liveauction to see a full list of the lots and to register for your chance to walk away with a piece of Hollywood history.
