Three Sherry Cocktails to Drink Right Now

It turns out that Spanish sherry pairs well with far more than Marcona almonds. Today, it’s being mixed into cocktails to great effect. Here are three for the road.

The new AQ spin-off, TBD, has not only a great sherry menu that offers tastes and glasses, but also a complete list of sherry cocktails. Try the Cut Stalk, a savory mix of L’Avion d’Or, dry vermouth, amontillado, and celery bitters. 1077 Mission St. (near 7th St.), 415-431-1826

While the menu at Comstock Saloon just got a complete revamp, its ever-classic Bamboo Cocktail—made of a silky trifecta of amontillado, dry vermouth, and bitters—is here to stay. 155 Columbus Ave. (at Pacific Ave.), 415-617-0071
