Valencia Art Faire

Local San Francisco businesses and community members flocked last Saturday onto Valencia Street in the Mission between 20th and 21st street for a sunny day full of art, music, food, comedy, and culture.

Held every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, this March's iteration featured a wide array of creative merchandise and entertainment across the lengthy two blocks to engage and illuminate fellow residents with.

This bi-monthly event is put on by Artyhood, an art community network that partners with the Valencia Corridor Merchant Association and Bay Area based nonprofit Big Leap Collective. They also have an array of sponsors such as nearby Manny's, Lolo, and Fellow Barber.

Founded by CEO Lauro Gonzalez, as both a Mexican native and social entrepreneur, his vision was to develop an art community that would foster deeper appreciation for both the business and culture of art.

By facilitating connections and relationships through interchanging art and perspectives, the Valencia Street Art Corridor has become a routinely respectful and successful platform for all forms of cultural and imaginative expression.
