Just when you think having four parades within eight years would start to feel ordinary for the Golden State Warriors and their devoted Bay Area Dub Nation, the massive hoards who flocked to Monday’s parade proved otherwise.

Right from the beginning of sunrise, fervent fans began arriving all along San Francisco’s Market Street, filling up the mile long entirety before the parade even started. By the time the festivities kicked off sharply at 11:20 a.m., either side of the city’s main artery was flanked by a thick sea of blue and gold with crowds that extended with more than 10 rows of people.

The players, Coach Kerr, their families, and others all strolled down the path from Market and Main, making their way down to 8th street regally atop the most resplendent double-decker buses.

While Ayesha and Coach Kerr sprayed their incredibly energized spectators with champagne from above, many players went off the bus to greet their devout fans right from street level, electrifying the hyped up crowd even more.

The parade’s intensity only increased as Steph Curry and Jordan Poole zig-zagged up and down either side of the packed street, even offering amusing commentary as the fans admired their joy and perserverance.

Having a comedic mic drop, Steph Curry, with his entourage behind him including local prominent actor Blake Anderson, stunned the crowd as he said “just so you know, when it’s over…” following with a sleeping gesture, denoting the Warriors putting their rival Boston Celtics to rest after their amazing wins.

It was the perfect sunny Monday for this monumental celebration, and from inventive signs, to dedicated wardrobes and unforgettable spectacles made by fans, see the photos below which capture just how grand this historic parade was.

To say the streets were filled would be an understatement. This parade was just as monumental and historic to the Bay as the Championship win, uniting everyone in a bold extravaganza of blue and gold, an honorable signal that, like the Warriors, the Bay's community continues to thrive.
